River Ridge Roll
February 16th, 2012 |
|
The
River Ridge Roll is the annual fundraiser golf
tournament hosted by the six high school golf programs
in Katy ISD. The money raised at this tournament
by the MCHS golf team goes directly to the MCHS golf
program and is used in a variety of ways. Golf bags,
golf shoes, entry fees for tournaments, practice fees,
caps, rain gear, and more have all been paid for with
money raised in previous years. |
|
The
format is a four player scramble ($100 entry per person)
with a shotgun start time of 12:30 p.m. A fajita lunch
is provided starting at 11:00 a.m. and a silent auction
is held after the round. FYI - The entry
fee is 25% tax deductible.
The vast majority of the money has traditionally been
raised via the silent auction and the hole and flag
sponsorships. Hole sponsorships are sold for $250.00
each and entail a sign placed at the tee of one of the
holes advertising the purchaser's business. Flag
sponsorships are sold for $500.00 each and will get the
purchaser an actual flag that will fly during the
tournament. We get these specially screen printed
with the message and/logo of the purchaser's choice.
Donations to this cause are 100% tax-deductible! |
|
In
addition, parent volunteers are needed to work
the tournament - workers are needed at registration,
silent auction tables, beverage carts, and more.
Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.
(Since the tournament date coincides with an early
release day at school, we may have some players
volunteering as well) |
|
Players and parents are highly encouraged to find as
many silent auction items, sponsors and tournament
entrants as possible - all money raised goes to the
Mayde Creek Golf program. |
