Golf Team News

November 18-19

The Mayde Creek varsity boys and girls traveled to Mont Belvieu over the weekend to compete in the Fall Regional Preview held at Eagle Pointe Golf Club.  This is a very prestigious tournament with a select field so it is quite the honor to report that Hagen Barmasse brought home the 1st place individual medal with scores of 75-74 to win by a single stroke.   Dominic Reed shot 81-78 to finish in 16th place, while Mark Evans shot 91-82 and Danny Thames shot 99-91 to round out the boys team.  On the girls side, the Lady Rams were led by Victoria Leal with scores of 87-86.  Her sister Katheryn Leal shot 95-91 and Haley Paulsen shot 98-102.  Saturday turned out to be a very long day as we were the first players to tee off, but due to Hagen's great score we had to stick around for hours waiting for all the players to finish.

This concludes the fall golf schedule for the varsity - our next tournament will be in January at Falcon Point where we will attempt to win for the third year in a row.
